Sports, friends, and big dreams for the future  ⛷️

My name is Sofi, and I am ten years old. I live in St. Petersburg, Russia, with my mom, grandma, and grandpa. We are a very happy family. We also have a cat named Barsik and a dog named Alma. Barsik is a tabby cat with some white fur on his face and chest, and Alma is a medium-sized mutt with short grey, reddish, and light brown fur. They love wandering around the house and playing in the yard. Barsik especially enjoys sleeping in my grandpa’s armchair.

I go to school in Michurinskoye, and I really like it there. Every morning, my mom or my grandpa drives me to school, and sometimes we listen to music in the car. When my mom is too busy or too tired, I take the bus and travel to school by myself.

My favourite subjects at school are English, Maths, and PE. I really enjoy learning new English words and playing sports.

I have several best friends — Aileen, Vadim, Mark, Leo, Sonya, Polina, Masha, and Tosha. We often play together and laugh a lot.

I do three sports — alpine skiing, chess, and tennis. Alpine skiing is my favourite. I have been skiing for eight and a half years, since I was one and a half years old, and I love the speed and excitement it gives me. My mom is an excellent skier, and we often ski together.

 

 

I have been playing chess for one year, and I like it because it helps me stay calm and focused.

I also enjoy playing tennis. I have been playing for the last eight years.

 

 

I like spending time at home too, watching movies or playing computer games.

When I grow up, I want to be either a professional athlete, a computer programmer, or a financial analyst. I also want to travel around the world.

I think life is more interesting when you keep learning and trying new things. I am happy with my life and thankful for my family, my friends, and my cat and dog.
