К тому времени я уже довольно хорошо знал Дэвида. Нам даже удалось позавтракать вместе на скорую руку (have a quick luncheon) в последний день семестра. Поэтому когда я приехал на короткое время в свой родной город, я сразу же (right away) спросил о нем. Но оказалось, что он уехал на уикенд с друзьями.
