And suddenly, within ... [a/an/the/--]  single generation, ... [the/a/an/--]  postal system is on its way to becoming ... [a/an/the/--]  thing of ... [the/a/an/--]  past. These days, ... [--/a/an/the]  few people send ... [--/a/an/the]  letters.

Today, ... [--/a/an/the]  email is a far more common way to communicate with ... [--/a/an/the]  friends and ... [--/a/an/the]  family. It's also ... [a/an/the/--]  faster and cheaper way to communicate. When I send ... [an/a/--/the]  email to ... [a/an/the/--]  friend in ... [a/an/the/--]  distant country, ... [the/a/an/--]  friend will receive ... [the/a/an/--]  email almost immediately. What's more, I have the ability to attach ... [a/an/the/--]  photograph, ... [a/an/the/--]  video, or ... [an/a/the/--]  MP3. And I don't even have to buy ... [an/a/the/--]  expensive stamp.

But ... [the/a/an/--]  world is changing quickly. In ... [a/an/the/--]  decade or two, we might all be using ... [a/an/the/--]  totally different kind of technology to communicate.
